Erik John Maurer MD, MS

Erik joined Alaska Radiology Associates in July of 2000 after completing fellowships in Interventional Radiology at the University of Virginia and Pediatric Radiology at Harvard University Children’s Hospital of Boston.  During his radiology residency, also at the University of Virginia, he completed a Masters Degree in Epidemiology.

Erik has been involved in medical research throughout his training, beginning at the University of Wisconsin where he received an Honors Degree in Molecular Biology, while working in their cardiac surgery research laboratory.  Erik met his Alaskan wife, now a physical therapist and Program Coordinator for Pediatric Therapies at Providence Hospital, while in medical school at Duke University School of Medicine. Erik and Lisa now spend most of their free time raising their two children Madeline and Alexander.  Professional interests include the development and provision of premier radiology service for the people of Alaska, with emphasis on pediatric and interventional and vascular radiology.
